Face of the day- Drugstore Make up

Today I thought I would post about the make up I have been wearing recently on a 'mum's day off work running errands' kinda day. This is basically minimal make up with a hint of eye liner applying in a fast past whilst your baby pulls everything out that you have recently tidied away.- Any mums reading this will feel my pain! -Also happening as I write this post.

To start off I apply Rimmel's wake me up foundation, Having a teething baby and also being a working mum I need a foundation that pretty much sums it up on the tube and makes me look awake as half the time I certainly don't feel it! I like this product as it has a dewy finish but isn't too thick when applying it so it doesn't make you feel you have 'caked it on'  Even before becoming a mum I've never been the type touch up my make up throughout the day so I like a foundation that gives me medium to full coverage so it lasts. This does last most of the day but it does start to come off towards the end of the day. This retails for around £7.99 however I picked this up when it was on offer from the supermarket Asda for £4.99.  I would rate this 7/10 I am yet to find a foundation that lasts all day! Any suggestions please let me know :)

After applying foundation I move onto concealer. I use the Boots Natural Collection range. I believe this retails for around £2.99. I love this concealer as it is very light -obviously they have more shades however I go for a light colour as it also acts as a liquid highlighter. This product doesn't have the most coverage so it does work well with the Rimmel foundation however for those tired mummy eye bags- This isn't great. I would rate this 7/10.

Next I apply my bronzer which is just called holiday glow, I love this as it gives me abit more colour and because we've just had summer the sun has given my freckles the go ahead to appear so it makes me feel abit more sun kissed on my cheeks. This product wouldn't be for everyone as I know some people like their bronzer to be a matte finish however this one has a shimmer in it which again makes me feel more awake and glowy. The only downside to this is it is quite a heavy product which makes it more difficult to blend in.I believe I picked this up from a beauty outlet store for around £3.99. I would rate this 8/10.

Then I'd move onto my eyes. I am currently using the black pencil eye liner from Primark these retailed at £1.00 for two pencil eye liners and a pencil sharpener! Again I do feel this product does start to fade throughout the day as it isn't as dark as when you first apply it. However for the price I really don't mind! This eye liner does smudge very easily. Which for blending is amazing however I think I'll stick to my liquid eye liners for the more winged looks! I would give this 9/10.

Lastly I apply my mascara, The one above is from a range found in Poundworld. I previously have brought the 'volume' mascara however this time I went for 'lengthening' I have to say I know it only costs £1 but I didn't rate this one. I'd give it a 3/10 you could tell I was wearing mascara however I constantly felt I had something in my eye after applying this and I also didn't feel it gave me those lengthy lashes it stated it would. The previous mascara I got from there though was in a black tube and that was really good! I felt my lashes did look longer. - For £1 you can certainly transform your look!

Please leave any suggestions of products you really like below in the comments and I'll have to give them a try! :)
