Blogmas Day 13! -Sleek Advent

Day 13 and we're back to another lip product. When I saw it was another lip creme I thought maybe it was one to match the last lip liner I got but it's different!

Today's lip creme is definitely a darker shade than the previous colour.

I compared this one to the other lip creme from the advent and this one I'd say it's a dark burgundy red. I know it isn't black in colour but I feel it has a black undertone to it. Whereas the other one is the 'Santa Red' as I call it. A red which has lighter tones to it.

The top is today's called 'Old Hollywood'.
Bottom is 'Rioja Red'

Here you can see the difference between the two shades.

I also wanted to show you how long lasting this lipcreme is! I realised this as I tried to use makeup remover to get it off my arm. It look not one, not two but four attempts at scrubbing it off!! - Brilliant for wearing on your lips if you're partying all night, out for a meal or sipping drinks on your lips but not so great for getting off.

I did put this on my lips to show you guys but when I tried to get it off, I honestly looked like the joker from Batman and I'm not even joking.

We've been doing this for 2 weeks tomorrow!

Blogmas day 12! -Sleek Advent

A new day, a new door! I was very excited when I opened up number 12 to see another palette! As I opened up the case I saw 12 beautiful colours. The packing of the palette is the same as the previous one, plain black with the Sleek logo on.

It's filled with 12 beautiful colours, I would definitely say it's more of a night time palette.  There's lots of shades with glitter in and also a lot of dark colours. Brilliant for smokey eyes!

I've swatched the colours to show you how bright and pigmented the eyeshadows are! and you lucky lot have also got a full face of Sleek make up photos and my first Youtube video (which I'll leave down this page somewhere.)

So much colour in one wipe of each eyeshadow! I'm also going to put in a picture of the pigment that was left on my fingers after I'd swatched them!

Can you see how much is still on there?! -I mean that blue is something else!

The colours I swatched on my fingers from L-R were number 9, 5 and 10.

I am now going to show you my full face of make up I used using all the products I have received in my Sleek advent calendar so far! - for such things like contour and foundation I have used my own other products as these wasn't in the calendar. However where I could I've used only Sleek.

Find my first Youtube video here:

Subcribe if you like and I may do more and even get brave and talk!

Be nice! I've even got my Christmas Jumper on!!!

Day 13 tomorrow..

Blogmas day 11! -Sleek Advent

What's behind door 11 you ask? Well today's Sleek product was a makeup brush. This brush is to apply eye makeup, so lets have a look a bit closer.

As you can see the brush is all black with white hairs at the very top. The brush is so soft and quite fluffy therefore it is brilliant for blending. It is also an angled brush which helps apply make up into corners.

I have swatched an eyeshadow onto my wrist to show how well the brush works. The swatch at the top is an eyeshadow applied with one of my flat brushes which has packed the pigment onto my arm brilliantly however the line is quite harsh. The bottom swatch is applied with this Sleek brush we got in today's advent. In the picture you can see how well the brush has blended the eyeshadow in without taking away the pigment. It has left no harsh lines it's all soft so will apply the eyeshadows beautifully making smokey eyes easier!

I definitely need to try a smokey look with the Sleek palette from this advent calendar and now this fluffy angled brush!

See you for day 12!

Blogmas day 10! -Sleek Advent

How have we now done 10 days of this?! Behind today's door we got another lip pencil. Again it's from the twist up range which as I've said many times before is a lot easier. The colour of the packing is the shade of the pencil which is a lovely berry tone, again perfect for autumn/winter.

The nib on this pencil is again thin therefore it's easier to be very accurate when doing your outline.

The pencil is so smooth and glides so wont hurt when applying as some pencils can when they need sharpening and also helps for a perfect application.

I had a look through my lipstick collection to see if I had something that could match this lovely colour and I was over the moon when I found one of my lipsticks from the Rimmel Kate Moss range matched. The Sleek pencil shade is - Shabby Chic and the Rimmel is - Rossetto Rouge 104. In these pictures I've swatched Sleek on the top then middle line is Sleek at the top of the line mixed with Rimmel straight underneath and finally Rimmel on the bottom line just to show the difference (or lack of) in the shades.

I know in the picture it looks like there is hardly any difference but that is because these colours match SO well! -Good find and match by myself if i do say so myself.

Hope you've all had a very festive snowy Sunday! - Any pictures comment them down below this post!

Blogmas Day 9! -Sleek Advent

What was behind today's door? Well  you'll be pleased to know that it isn't an eye product for the fourth day in a row! Today's product is a nail polish!

This shade is so lovely! and I love love love the colour! It's a plum/berry colour! I think it's such a lovely shade for autumn and winter, you can mix it with so many colours; blacks, browns and mustard colours go really well with it!

This particular shade from Sleek is called 'Velvet Supper.' Once again I was too excited by the colour to read the bottle. So when I applied it to my nails I was surprised that it was drying matte! As I've said before I love the matte finish but there are gel top coats out there if you prefer the shiny look -Although I definitely think it doesn't need it.

The shade is a little bit lighter than what it is showing up on the photos. Before anyone says.. I know I haven't painted them perfectly. I have had to quickly paint my nails, take my photos and write this blog post to get it up asap as I have a party tonight so I really should be going to get ready!

Lets see what door number 10 brings tomorrow!

Blogmas day 8! -Sleek Advent

Day 8 and behind the door was yet another eye product and another eye liner! But this time it was a liquid liner. The packaging is all black with white logo again. I noticed that the handle on this eyeliner is really long which I thought is perfect for more accuracy when applying it.

The nib on the liner isn't the thinnest one so it's brilliant for the more thicker wing. But the colour is a very dark black so definitely brings the glam to your look.

I tested the liner on the back of my hand to show how dark the liner is and also tried to show how thin the line could go, however not straight on my hand!! I'm sure with less pressure and more concentration you can pull off the perfect wing!

Day 9 tomorrow! and the weekend!

Blogmas day 7! - Sleek advent

Day 7 and behind today's door was another eye product, an eye pencil. The packaging is all black with the white 'Sleek' logo at the bottom.

The eye pencil is from the same range as the lip pencil -twist up. Again no mess or effort sharpening!
The colour today was black, perfect to go alongside any of the colours from the palette in yesterday's post!  The shade is 'Midnight 133'.
The nib on the eye pencil is quite a thin point so it is good for winged liner if you don't feel confident using liquid liner or even just feel like winging it with pencil. This pencil did smudge very easily which is a good thing it makes it absolutely perfect for smokey eyes! -Always a gorgeous look and a definite favourite of mine.

The top line is showing how thin the liner can be and also how thick and dark it can go depending on the pressure when you apply it. I feel like this eyeliner would be long lasting because I had my hands in water and it didn't come off. Perfect for long days/nights wearing it or on the waterline you know it wouldn't come off straight the way.

Speak tomorrow!

Blogmas day 6! -Sleek advent

Behind today's door was exciting! With the shape of the door on the advent calendar I thought it'd be a little palette maybe an eyeshadow duo or another blush. I was So excited when I opened up it up. It was a palette, however it had not two not even 5 but 12 mini eyeshadows in it. It is so cute! - I know what you're thinking eyeshadows can't be cute but trust me they can when they're this small! -Perfect for your handbag though ladies!

The palette itself is lovely, its got some matte shades for a subtle day look or even as your transition colour if your going full glam. Then of course it has some glitter shades.

I think with this palette you could try many different looks like I said subtle everyday looks, full glam and with the range of different colours you can match it to what you're wearing or feeling that day!

I swatched a few of the colours to see how pigmented they are and as you can see they are pretty good! From left to right I used number 8, number 5 and number 9. I love number 8 for a smokey eye and number 5 is so in this festive season! Gold glitter at christmas is a must!

Day 7 tomorrow! one whole week!

Blogmas Day 5! -Sleek Advent

Day 5 already? Once I'd open this door I saw a lovely lip pencil. It's a twist up which saves the time and mess of sharpening and that's always a winner in my eyes! The Sleek logo is on the bottom of the pencil in white which is different for Sleek's usual black they opt for.

The colour? You guessed it...red! They've spiced it up a little though because the shade is slightly darker than what it has been with the other products. It's not too dark to be a berry toned colour but it is a step away from the 'Santa Red' I keep referring to - It is showing up slightly darker on pictures.

The nip on the pencil is thin so brilliant for accuracy when lining your lips. Honestly this product
just glides on so it doesn't feel sharp as some make up pencils can do.

I've compared the lip pencil next to the lip creme I opened on day 3. I wanted to see if it'd be wearable together. I definitely think they work together. The pencil would simply outline the lips but the colours would easily blend into each other.

Lip Creme - Rioja Red

Twist up Lip Pencil - Spiced Apple.

Who's intrigued to find out tomorrow's product?

Blogmas Day 4! - Sleek Advent

Day 4 and another door! Today I had a feeling it would be a nail polish- again from the shape. The 7ml bottle is matching to the lip creme from yesterday. Glass bottle showing the shade and the black Sleek lid.

The colour is also matching to the lip creme with a vibrant red exactly the same called 'Rioja Red'. Again like yesterday's product it is such a festive colour! It's a real Santa red. Not too dark and not to coral in colour! As I was too excited by the colour I didn't read the bottle and realise it was a matte colour so I was in awe when I painted it on my nails. It honestly took around 30 seconds until it was touch dry and a gorgeous matte finish. I only have one coat on and it covered my nails brilliantly! I don't feel you even need a second coat but obviously you could.

If you don't like the matte finish you can opt for a gel top coat to give you that shiny finish, however I personally think the matte finish is lovely. I did dig out my gold glitter polish as I thought as it's Christmas it'd look lovely with that on the ring fingers. I would use the Barry M gold glitter.

Four days down and I am loving these products! -Can someone invent a yearly one please??

See you tomorrow!

Blogmas day 3! -Sleek Advent

Another day in December means another advent door. Today with the shape of the door, I thought it could be a lipstick or a nail polish. It was a Lip cream/lipgloss. As always I'm going to start off with the packaging, the glass bottle is see through so you can see the shade of the lip creme and the lid is the usual black in colour with the Sleek logo imprinted very faintly. I think it looks really classy and expensive even though separately these retail in Boots and Superdrug at a bargain £4.99!

Now lets get down to business.. The colour, it's called 'Rioja Red'. The shade is beautiful and absolutely perfect for the festive season. I mean when you think Christmas you automatically think red for Santa right?

When I did a swatch of this product the consistency is so creamy therefore no chapped lips ruining the look as some lip products can be so drying, especially in this latter months of the year mother nature already does that for us.

The colour is such a fun and festive red which I think especially in December can be worn day and night! - (Kid Cudi in their heads? anyone? or just me.) When I tried to wash it off my arm I really had to scrub -Hard. So Ladies this is perfect for festive drinks with your loved ones and work parties dancing into the early hours of the morning sipping many drinks along the way because your Sleek red lip creme isn't going to budge!

Lets see what day 4 brings us!
