January Make up favourites

We are finally at the end of January. It's been nice to start fresh and get motivated ready for the year ahead but it does seem to drag and everyone becomes a bit down with the January blues. With that in mind I thought I'd end on a high with the makeup products I've been loving this month.

My First love is my Morphe 35F palette. I am a massive Morphe eyeshadow fan I think the payoff you get from these eyeshadows are Amazing! from the matte colours to the glitter, the pigment is brilliant and lasts all day and into the night! They are so easy to blend together and I will forever be a massive Morphe fan!

Next let's move onto foundation. A classic for many people but my go to foundation is Mac studio fix fluid. I use the shade nw15. I personally think it gives me high coverage and doesn't wear off as quickly as others.

Carrying on with Mac is my current lipstick favourite in the shade 'Honey Love'. It's such a nice nude colour it has more of a brown tone to it compared to 'Velvet Teddy' which to me is more pink undertoned.

Next is my blusher. It has already featured on my blog (see blogmas day 1) This beauty is from Sleek,I love the pink shade of it and my favourite part is it has gold flecks in which are so shiny on the skin. Perfect for adding glow to your face. The shade I use is: Rose Gold 926.

To go hand in hand with the blush is my favourite highlighter palette from MakeUp Revolution. This palette is beautiful. All the shades are so pigmented and add such a good highlight to the cheek bones which even stands out in photos. A bargain at £4!!

Speaking of Makeup Revolution, another one of my current favourites is their 'Conceal & Define' concealer. I use it for under my eyes as its high coverage and because I use the shade C1 I find it brightens that area. - This is meant to be a dupe for the Tarte 'Shape Tape concealer'. Another bargain for £4 from Makeup Revolution!!

Finally my last makeup favourite for January is L'OREAL's 'Paradise Extatic' This mascara is absolutely Brilliant. It adds so much length to your natural lashes especially for us mum's who have no spare time on the school run to be applying lashes! It retails at £11.99 which I think is brilliant for an ultimate eye make over every morning!

Let me know what some of your January favourites are, doesn't just have to be beauty!

10 Happy things!

As I look out the window which is hammering down with rain, It got me thinking what simple things make me happy:

   1. My dressing gown - Sounds redic to some of you (Not one of my closest friends, she is the exact same - Yes Adele that's you!) but it's the best thing - besides Ian hating it and replacing it whenever he can it's always there for you. Cold whilst you wait for the heating to come on? -Dressing gown. Feeling emotional?-Dressing gown. Need a cuddle and no ones home?- Dressing gown. Ya see where I'm going with this?

2. Candles- They smells amazing, they make the room cosy, they chill you out. I just bloody love
em'.

   3. Fresh sheets - Pretty self explanatory, the best feeling when you're tired!

4. The heating being on AT LEAST  24 degrees - Grates my Sh*t when Ian touches the thermostat!!! A downside to being polar opposites!

5. Eggs - In the form of Mini and creme. Petition to start selling them all year round please?

6. Driving alone in my car with my 90's tunes playing on full volume! -Apologies for anyone who hears/sees this in full swing!

7.  An empty washing basket - With children this can be unheard of but keep ploughing the end of the basket really does exist!

8. Fluffy socks - Like no.1 they've got your back. I swear my feet have no blood in them! They are like blocks of ice 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 363 a year! - minus the 2 days it is actually 'hot' in England.

9. IKEA - Yes it's like joining the M25 and once your in, you've got to be brave to go back against traffic if you forget something from the lounge section. But there's just something about that place that I LOVE - And as much as its a controversial subject it's not the for meatballs.

10. Hanging my washing on the line outside - Back to another adulting one but who else is sick of either shoving it in the dryer or having it all over the house on a clothes horse trying to get it dry for the next school week?!  - I love the fresh smell when it's been blowing in the wind in spring drying naturally.

So there you have it, My 10 basic things that make me happy most if not all are very boring adulting ones but hey I'm 24 going on 80 so that's acceptable right?

Let me know what yours are in the comments.

Pop of colour

Hello, and since We've gone into 2018 it is about time I said Happy New Year to you all! Hope you had the best Christmas and a lovely time welcoming in the New Year - That goes for us who prefer the leftover chocolates and a cheesy film in our pjs and fluffy socks as well as the party people.

So lets move onto the first post of this year. I wanted to do my first outfit post. On Sunday me, my partner and my little one toddled off in the car with scooter in tow to have a lovely afternoon of family time. -freezing all be it!

This is when we had the chance to take my photos for this post.

Top Half:
  • I wore a black polo neck top which is from F&F which you can get pretty much anywhere as it's just plain black.
  • A black floppy hat which I got from Primark a little while ago, I am long overdue a trip to Primarni so I don't know if they still have ones like this in.

Bottom Half:
  • I wore a grey checkered skirt again from F&F which I have had a pretty long while so again not sure if you can get this exact one but I've seen similar from Primark and boohoo. It's above the knee and has two little pockets on the front finished with two black buttons.
  • Tights- now these may be controversial but I like them and thought they added a pop of colour to this outfit. These are from Primark which are fur lined so purrfect- (get it?) for the colder days! They were £3 however I know you can buy them in many different colours from almost any shop! I absolutely love the berry colour in autumn/winter time so I matched my lipstick to my tights!
  • To finish my outfit I popped on some long knee high flat boots. They're faux suede and have buckle detailing. I got these from Matalan!

As you can see I am definitely a high street gal, My lifestyle and having a child means my budget doesn't stretch to much designer.

Where's your favourite high street places to shop?

Beauty & The Beast - Panto Style!

As one of my Christmas presents, We had tickets to go and see Beauty and The Beast in pantomime! Ian had chosen this show at the De Montfort Hall in Leicester. Even though we live an hour away, I was born in Leicester so it was fab to be going 'home' to see the show!

This picture is taken from De Montfort Hall's website.

The parking was brilliant it was directly opposite the hall which cost us £3. We crossed the path and strolled into the venue. After a quick bag check - (Security was brilliant) we got our programme, drinks and snacks and went up the stairs to find out seats - which was very easily labeled and the assistants at the hall were very helpful.

Ian had picked the seats C50 and C51 we were on a higher tier (Circle) and was dead centre of the stage, It was a brilliant view! I was so happy with where we were sat.

It's become our tradition that whilst waiting for the show to start we take a selfie for the memories 😊

I am a massive Beauty and the Beast fan but the fact Leicester's own Sam Bailey was starring in the show made it even better! I'd watched and rooted for her for the whole of the series when she was on the X Factor  so I fangirled abit ..okay a lot when she started singing! Sam was absolutely amazing! That lady was born to sing! I was worried she wouldn't be in the show due to the news that she'd fallen off a ladder and had a bang to the head! Luckily she was back! and even made a joke or two about it on stage!

Sam played the 'Enchantress' who set the spell upon the Prince. She can be seen in the above picture on the left.

It wasn't just Sam that was amazing in the show last night. All the cast were brilliant! If I'm completely honest growing up (and I'm only 24 so I was around when it was on telly) but I wasn't the biggest fan of Dick & Dom in the bungalow. However I have to say that Richard McCourt -Dick  was absolutely brilliant! He was so funny, mixed well with the children in the crowd and had a laugh with the adults! He was so full of energy and a great laugh! - They surprised the audience -don't worry I can't ruin it for anyone else because it's the last show today and this will be posted after the shows finished. They surprised us by Soaking us with water blasters, it was SO funny. Us ladies had put our best clothes on, spent time on our hair and make up and these guys soaked us! and I mean we got really wet! It was so much fun!

Dick paired with BBC Radio Leicester's Martin Ballard -who played 'Dame Kimmy' was a genius idea! They were fantastic! So funny! and I personally think 'Dame Kimmy' was based on Vicky pollard -definitely on dress sense anyway! -See Above haha!

Another Brilliant part of the show was Daniel Tawse who played 'Eugene'. He was so brilliant! He got the crowd 'booing' him and shouting the panto classic 'oh no he didn't, oh no you're not'. He played a character alike to Gaston in the disney's version but Eugene in Leicester's version. Brilliant actor and played his character with such comedy and wit, it was perfect.

To finish some of the cast is Sarah Accomando who played 'Belle' she made a lovely Belle and has a beautiful voice! Karl Loxley who played The Beast/Prince was also really good, having to wear that hot costume/mask for the majority of the show can't be the best thing but it was played lovely.

I wanted to finish by saying overall how brilliant it was! From the dancers, singing and costumes, they were all fantastic!  It was my first show I'd seen at De Montfort but I would definitely go back!

Let me know any shows/pantomimes You have seen!
