Do you want to go to the seaside?

Do you want to go to the seaside?I'm not trying to say that everybody wants to go - especially not in November!Hands up who got The Kooks reference?

Call me mad but there's something nice about going to the seaside - Even in the cold. So we huddled into the car and drove about an hours drive to be beside the sea. When we got there we went to get food and when you have sea and sand a stones throw away, it has to be fish and chips right?
btw - We were having a debate, is gravy acceptable on chips? because I vote yes. Let me know in the comments your vote!

The one we went to, is one that we have been to before. It's called Trawlers Catch and it is brilliant. Inside it is full of Pirate items and all things under the sea -I need to stop these puns! hanging on walls and ceilings. The first time we went there they actually had Pirates of the Caribbean playing on a large Tv on the wall! - You don't get that at the local, not in our sleepy little town anyway! It even had phone chargers at every table! Very 2017.

Once we'd munched down on dinner we then took little one to the arcades. We had lots of pennies that we had forgotten about so we took them with us, it was so much fun and we managed to bag lots of prizes!

2p machines are very underrated. Even at 24 and a mum, I think I probably enjoyed it most. The goodies we got were, a blue helicopter -(yes the colour is important when you're three), a red pick up truck, a red racing car, two fridge magnets, an avengers puzzle and a box of celebrations! Now can you see why I was excited?

We all had ice cream, 2 blues ones and a brown one- Again through a three year old's eyes. I opted for a Mr Whippy with bubblegum sherbet and Ian voted mine the best!! - For those of you that know Ian know He hates admitting my choice is better haha.

Even though it was cold and those that know me, know I should have been born in a HOT country as I can never warm up!! It was such a lovely family day!

Wheres your favourite place near the sea?

Majorca 2017

A first of many,Majorca was the first holiday abroad I've had since I travelled Australia in 2013, first time to Majorca and it is also the first ever time abroad where I've travelled with a young child -something I wasn't sure how the long airport waits, fast plane rides and long bus transfers would go. In my gut I knew my little one would be fine, all the excitement was perfect for him, obsessed with trains, vehicles and anything with wheels, my little one was in his element. Looking out the plane window as we took off from London Stansted watching the cars and buildings become the size of ants, and on the return flight the Lego Movie was way more exciting then the fact we were flying 36,000 feet above sea level.

I thought I would do my outfit posts from the humid evenings we spent there. Forgive me as I didn't take a picture (well get Ian to take a picture) every night. I also managed to get an eye infection whilst away which is not what you want! especially when posing for your jolly holiday pictures!

The first outfit is this yellow off the shoulder floaty dress from New Look. I got it in the sale -which btw if you go abroad later in the year you get all the bargains that have gone into the sale from summer! -Winning! I pinned my hair up at the side and teamed it with simple earrings, my gold Lipsy watch and an old shoulder bag which if I remember rightly is also New Look.. Can you tell I used to work there? I finished this outfit off with some mustard coloured open toed flat shoes which I got for a steal at £4 from Peacocks!

The next outfit I'm going to share is this lilac (although looks lighter in the picture) strappy silk vest blouse from Primark which was around the £4 mark. I teamed it with these pastel coloured embroidered shorts from Nasty Gal. Jewlery it was simple my gold watch again, a small black choker and some studs. My shoes were brown open toed sandals with slits along the side. I believe these were Matalan - Could be wrong I've had them a while.

The final outfit I have to share is my long maxi dress which I got from H&M. I'm not a massive leopard print lover but with the pink I felt I could rock it. It was perfect for holiday wear as it was very light so kept you cool and was opened backed. I teamed it with my coral flower flip flops from Good old Primarni (Primark) and my trusty old New Look bag made a second appearance.

Im off to snuggle in a blanket and drink hot chocolate to help my holiday blues!
